Holmeside

At the very centre of Sunderland the seven acre ‘Holmeside Triangle’, adjacent to Sunderland’s dynamic new bus terminal, is a superb development opportunity at the heart of key pedestrian routes and with easy access by car, train, Metro and bus. The redevelopment of this site for retail, food and drink, leisure and some residential use will help consolidate Sunderland`s City Centre offering, to both local people and visitors, greatly enhancing the attractions of the city for investment and as a focus of income generation

Sunderland arc is now working with acclaimed developer Thornfield Properties Plc on a visionary scheme for the site.

Acquisitions are continuing to be made and currently Sunderland arc and its partner's, control approximately 75% of the site.

Given Holmeside’s central location and proximity to The Bridges Shopping Centre, the opportunities for development in the area will add a crucial new dimension to Sunderland`s retail core. A comprehensive mixed-use development including the opportunity for a department store, a large floorplate retailer, leisure facilities and associated car parking is envisaged.
