Pat Ritchie, Regional Director (Designate) North East, HCA
Prior to joining HCA, Pat worked as Director of Strategy & Development at One North East from 2004. She was promoted to the post of Assistant Chief Executive (Strategy) in 2007. In this post Pat led on developing the North East’s Regional Economic Strategy and its Action Plan and oversaw its delivery.
Pat has extensive experience of economic development and regeneration. In 2002 she worked for Glasgow Housing Association, leading on economic and social aspects of the stock transfer business plan. Prior to this she was a senior manager with EDI, a property and economic development company owned by Edinburgh Council. From 2000-2003 Pat was Chair of the Scottish Urban Regeneration Forum, SURF, an independent network of regeneration policy makers and practitioners.
She worked in the North East from 1983 to 1998 in various roles in economic development and regeneration in Newcastle City and Sunderland City Councils.
