Public consultation and public involvement are key to successful urban renaissance. It is vital that communities in Sunderland are encouraged to make an active contribution to the regeneration of their City.
Following on from extensive consultation regarding its Vaux and Farringdon Row proposals the arc has been engaging with stakeholders through a variety of different methods. These have included increased, pro-active press coverage, both regionally and nationally, and the publication of informative and accessible reading material such as the Annual Report and glossy arc regeneration magazine, which have been distributed widely. The arc has also been showcasing its schemes and the city of Sunderland at a range of exhibitions and events across the UK.
